16mm film and digital video installation at Objectifs Centre for Photography and Film in Singapore for Poetry in Patterns solo exhibition.  Oct 2024

An installation that combines video projection in a shifting relationship with two 16mm film loops threaded through a single projector. The ease by which digital technology records images of the natural world is in contrast to the immediacy of lines scratched by hand directly into raw film and animated by the projector. The lines were carved into the emulsion of the film as straight as I could draw them, but when magnified through the projector lens they would flash and sometimes slide across the screen.
